This photo series is a commentary on abuse and the struggle of getting out of an abusive situation. I use warm tones and 'pretty' aesthetics (the ribbon, sheer clothing, and decorative background) to show how on the surface a victim may seem fine. The poses, harsh lighting, and black ink tell the true story of what a victim goes through.
